For today’s discussion, I will tackle how to properly optimize the social media profiles of your brand. Moreover, I will elaborate on which platforms are best suited for your business according to your target market.

To effectively connect with your target audience, optimizing your social media profiles is crucial. This is where Search Engine Optimization (SEO) comes in. Thus, allowing your business to appear on search engines like Google.

Understanding the power of social media marketing can go a long way for your brand.

Ranking on the first page of Google gives people an impression of your brand’s credibility. Aside from that, you are guaranteed to receive traffic organically. 

Users are inclined to clicking on links with a higher ranking on the search results. Properly optimizing your brand’s social media profiles is equivalent to increasing your online presence or visibility.

2. Effectively Reach Target Audience

I’m sure you have discovered a lot of brands you haven’t heard of through social media. As a business owner, you’d want to take advantage of creating accounts for your brand on different social networking platform. It is a powerful way to connect and build a relationship with your potential prospects.

It’s simply the easiest way they can reach you.

3. Generate High-quality Leads

High-quality leads are the people who are specifically interested in what you can offer and are ready to make a purchase. To ensure that they chose you instead of your competitors, you must let them find you first!

Starting an account for your brand is not that complicated. It’s as easy as creating your personal accounts for any social networking sites.


Creating a page for your business on Facebook is easy. Here’s a checklist of what must be included in your profile page!

  1. Choose a category and enter information for your business.  
  2. Upload the profile and cover photo with the right resolution.
  • Profile Photo (180×180 pixels)
  • Cover Photo (820×312 pixels)
  1. Add admins
  2. Set a Vanity Url 
  3. Complete Profile Information
  4. Include a page Call to Action. You can redirect them to your website.
  5. Enable Reviews
  6. Enable Top Fans Badge
  7. Include location and operating hours 
  8. Add Tabs if needed

Note that you are not limited to just adding an image to the cover photo section. You can utilize this when promoting a new product or service. You upload a cover that advertises your products using a slideshow or a video with an ideal length of 20-90 seconds.

Facebook allows you to choose a template according to what your business is. If you are running an e-commerce business you can add a tab that will let your followers shop directly at your FB page. 

Do not forget your call to action button. This will allow you to lead your audience to what you want them to do. Let’s say you can add a link to your latest Youtube Video or send them directly to your business website. It’s entirely up to you.

There are different permissions when adding admins to your page. Assign them according to their specific task. The roles are admin, editor, moderator, advertiser, and analyst.



  1. Complete the About Us Section. Include the necessary keywords.
  2. Add a channel icon and banner with the right resolution

  1. Add a channel trailer. This could be a video about your brand as a whole or a highlight of the latest product or services.
  2. Create playlists. (for every product or relevant category)
  3. Add links of other social media profiles to your Youtube Channel.

  2. Complete bio. Add necessary or relevant keywords.
  3. Include other social media links
  4. Do not forget a Call To Action!

  1. Include a link to your website
  2. Add your location
  3. Make sure your Direct Messages (DM’s) are open to everyone
  4. Upload 4-5 initial photos relevant to your brand and add alt text for each.
  5. Include keywords on your bio and posts.

All these can contribute to effective digital marketing. Always incorporate the necessary information that users need to see. Be as detailed and as specific as you can. Doing so will allow them to find you trustworthy. Being perceived as a sketchy brand is the last thing we’d want our customers to see us.

These are just a few of the social networking sites that your brand can dominate. Do not forget to include the keywords! This is crucial to letting users find your brand easily. Researching the right ones is a must.
